Goodness! Doesn’t time fly? Must get some more posted soon. Just one for the time being. Have recently been borrowing an old Nikkor manual 50mm lens. (This is a 75mm equivalent on my D3000). It opens up to f1.8 for nice narrow depth of field. It also means the camera is pocketable! (Just.) I think I’m going to have to buy it. I’ve not had my kit zoom lens on for weeks. Of course, I have to focus and meter (guess and then look at the histogram!) manually, but that’s not a prob.
