Yes, that’s a small hole in his ear, not a photographic artefact!

Very nicely captured, a highly effective portrait – captures his character somehow…

I’ve believed things you people haven’t seen.
Well I trust?

Very well thanks. But who are you? 🙂

Hi Peter, coming to this post a bit late. Found via the SBA site. Just wanted to say that I love this photo. Bet that cat sings the blues. Great face, but obviously has been in the wars and presumably never found a human to own. Poor old thing.

Thanks Darlene! Sorry about the delay in replying – I’m very remiss in both reading and posting here. The little old boy is still going strong. He has decided to move into the house at the sanctuary rather than stay in his usual cattery. And, yes – it was his decision – he made his own way. He now shares the Doberman’s bed!

Just to report that on Tuesday 13th November 2012 Snookie was put to sleep. He had been at the sanctuary for a couple of years and spent the last few months living in the director’s house in domestic comfort. He was very old, although we don’t know exactly how old. I buried him in the garden.
