Not entirely sure about this one, but I must say that the white structure right of center, and the pale drive too, add a lot to the composition – and the pale area of wall to the left of the ?stable ? door – and the way the brightness top left matches with the dark shrub bottom right >>>in fact the more I look at this, the more I see in it – good work! I’m not sure either, but I liked it as something of an abstract. It was the first of this little lot and is the exact opposite of “minimal mucking about” that I mentioned a few posts ago. (Me? Fickle? 🙂 )
I duplicated the background layer twice and set the two new ones to “soft light” which increases the contrast. I then whacked a load of Gaussian blur on those two layers and tweaked their curves (mainly “up”).
Loving the soft light of this one…
